#SATMKochi celebrates #WorldTourismDay2022 along with the entire world.

#Tourism is one of the most important industries in the world, as it has great relevance in society, economy, politics and culture and in the recent years, being recognised as a crucial pillar of development.

Celebrating the World Tourism Day, it’s not about going back to the old normal, it’s about finding better solutions for the future.

As the World recovers and opens up again,

although the crisis revealed the weakness existing in the travel and tourism industry, highlighting the critical need for transformation, it also showed that it can bounce back as an inclusive, sustainable, and resilient sector. The time is now to seize this opportunity to rethink how we do tourism.

Rethinking tourism involves improving the tourist’s experience, better managing the impacts of tourism, and encouraging positive spillover effects on the wider economy.

As we celebrate World Tourism Day on September 27, 2022, the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) signifies this year’s focus on “Rethinking Tourism”.

Now is the moment to make the most of this chance to reconsider our practice of tourism, It is also time to rethink the tourism industry as a key element to recovery.
